A Waltz for Peace
I wrote this waltz a month after the 2016 presidential election. I didn't realize at the time how much we would need something like this. We've played it a lot recently.

A. 1-2 In a ring, balance
3-4 1s wide cast to 2nd place 6 steps while the 2s lead up
5-8 Handy hand allemande (1s split the 2s)
9-10 Partner right-hand balance,
11-12 Partner box the gnat
13-16 Starting with partner, 2 changes of rights and lefts
B: 1-8 1s full figure 8; start by crossing down. (2s may make it a double figure 8 and start by casting)
9-12 Partner back to back
13-16 Partner two-hand turn
Note: When this no longer has to be danced solo, change A 9-16 to 4 changes of rights and lefts.
