The Mistress of the Greenery
This tune is a homage to the ever-wonderful and always-inspiring Sharon Green. Suzanne Ford describes Sharon this way - and I totally agree:
"Sharon Green is a force of nature -- her energy is boundless, her enthusiasm is infectious, and her imaginative creativity is phenomenal. In addition, Sharon is a thoughtful, warm and inviting presence who makes everyone feel included and valued. She is a dynamic teacher and champion of her fellow dancers and musicians bringing out the best in the assembled company. She has a wonderful ability to help people to see what is possible -- even before they see it themselves."
Over the course of several revisions, master composer Dave Wiesler offered suggestions that helped make this tune what it is. I am grateful to Dave both for that and for the conversations that have helped me to look at tunes in ways new to me and useful.
