The Fair Witness
A Fair Witness is an individual trained to observe events and report exactly what they see and hear, making no extrapolations or assumptions. An eidetic memory is a prerequisite for the job, although this may be attainable with suitable training. In Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, a Fair Witness is a highly reputable source of information. This piece is dedicated to Bruce Hamilton, who is also a highly reputable source of information. Bruce has begun to use it as the music for Kersty's Jig, written by Jo Hamilton
