Steps for Frances
Seth Tepfer and I collaborated to collaborated to create this dance to be raffled as a fund raiser for the Country Dance and Song Society (and it raised over $2,000). It was won by Atlantan Chris Carroll, who named it for her mother.

Formation: Improper, start close to partner
A1 1-2 Fall back a double
3-4 Forward a double to cross over
5-8 Take inside hand with neighbor (lark left with robin right) to pivot 3 places. (Gent is a post while lady goes 3 places around. Ladies end diagonally opposite to where they started.) End facing neighbor with 2 hands joined.
A2 1-4 Half pousette clockwise (gents advance, ladies retire) around other couple
5-8 Right hands star
B1 1-2 Larks turn single left while ladies pull by right and face in ready with left hand
3-4 Left handS star 1/2
5-8 Face partner and pass left shoulders for two changes of a circular hey, passing partner left and then neighbor right
B2 1-4 Double mad robin clockwise (ladies slide right in front, gents left behind to start)
5-8 Partner two-hand turn one and a half times to trade places
