Gaye's Gallop
Dance caller extraordinaire Gaye Fifer is a long-time friend. I've had two weddings. Both had contra dances as part of the celebration. Gaye called the second one, and that's the one that worked, so I am deeply grateful to her. More seriously, I enjoy working with Gaye a ton; she makes great dish scrubbies; and her service as CDSS President has benefitted us all. I wrote this reel after we worked with her a couple of times during the pandemic. My friend Paul Gitlitz describes it as "Cowboy Carolan" which ... well, perhaps it is.
