Atlanta DistDances are a community service from Seth Tepfer, Kimbi Hagen, Robbin Marcus & Dave Marcus. They are not sponsored by the Chattahoochee Contra Dancers or ECD Atlanta.
The four of us saw a need to keep our dance community connected, our musicians and callers employed, and most importantly, a way to continue to have fun together. The Atlanta DistDances are a temporary solution to fill the void created by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We currently produce two dance series:

We currently produce two dance series:
- Our every-Friday dances include both contra dances and English Country Dances as well as free waltzes. Reelplay provides music for about half of these dances.
- Our second and fourth Monday dances are all-ECD programs, with a free waltz or two. Reelplay plays for the majority of these dances.

From caller Brad Foster: "Y'all do such a great job. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making all this work. You have a great model for a dance, and know how to bring newcomers like me into this virtual world. I love your tech, your management and hosting, your music, the community you gather. I almost said this tonight -- I feel we need community so badly right now, and this is a great community."
